Introduction
As Great Wolf Lodge's Senior Interactive Designer, I was responsible for the art direction and redesign of their Great Wolf Kids website.The site features fun games, activities, videos, music, and bios of the Great Wolf Kid characters.
I teamed up with the front-end designer, who coded the site and features, creating a truly engaging website for the youngsters, bound to keep them busy for hours.
Exciting games portal
Nearly 10 games themed around the Great Wolf Kid's characters were able to be repurposed for this redesign project, but the previous site did not do a good job of introducing the game, showing off the unique character designs or provide clear call to actions.

Fun activities and crafts
We needed a way to introduce all new creative activities that could be enjoyed at home or on the go. From printable digital coloring sheets to car bingo and other classic favorites, it was the perfect way for kids to form a deeper relationship with their favorite characters and leave boredom in the rear view mirror while traveling to their destination in the car.
Entertaining media library
We designed and built a custom themed media player for the user to enjoy the wealth of Great Wolf Lodge video and audio content. All new animated stories found their home here, including "The Story of Great Wolf Lodge", "Brinley's Big Day" and a number live-action mascot character video shorts with catchy tunes to sing along to.
Learn about the Great Wolf Kids
All 10 Great Wolf Kid characters came with a short back story and fun facts that kids can relate to. We made it easy for the user to learn more about each character, and provide quick access to other activities and games that feature that character right from their bio.
Interactive coloring sheets
A favorite activity of the Great Wolf Kids website is the printable interactive coloring sheets. I designed a new paint studio interface with larger color choice targets and library of coloring sheets that vastly improved the usability of the feature. The front-end developer coded the real-time interactive paintbrush tool and effects that brought everything to life as you fill the line drawing with your favorite colors.
